Get Involved – Support Library Development in Uganda
Libraries in Uganda are more than just buildings with books; they are vital community hubs for education, digital access, and lifelong learning. However, many face significant challenges, including limited resources, a shortage of trained staff, and inadequate infrastructure. The collective effort of passionate individuals and organizations is crucial to changing this narrative.
Whether you are a professional seeking to volunteer, an institution looking to partner, or simply someone who believes in the power of education, there is always a role for you. Explore the pathways below to discover how you can contribute to building a brighter future through Uganda’s libraries.
Volunteer – Share your skills, transform a community.
International volunteers bring essential expertise, fresh perspectives, and dedicated manpower to library projects across Uganda. This is a profound opportunity for cultural exchange and direct, on-the-ground impact for community transformation.
Program Partner – Forge a lasting partnership for change.
Partnerships involve formal collaboration between your organization (a library or or NGO) in any part of the world. This model focuses on sustained, project-based support that addresses specific developmental gaps.
Student Intern – Gain unparalleled experience, fuel your career.
Internships offer a unique blend of practical, hands-on learning and meaningful contribution. This is an ideal pathway for students of library science, information technology, education, development studies, or related fields.
